Some divorces can get pretty ugly. Who knew that the conflict between former singer-rapper Mizz Nina and her ex-husband Noh Salleh of Hujan would take a turn for the worst? The drama first started after the retired performer posted a lengthy Instagram post detailing how her son, Musa, was taken from her by her ex without her knowledge nor her permission.
She has since used all necessary legal channels to get her child back from the Hujan vocalist, who previously claimed that he was granted permission to take care of the boy by the birth mother. While her son has since been safely returned to her, the story is far from being over. Here are the latest updates on this conflict:
Yesterday (Wednesday, 8th February), it was reported that the birth mother of Mizz Nina’s adopted son came forward with her statement to clarify some matters. Musa’s birth mother, known only as Athirah, told reporters that she was manipulated by Noh into granting him permission to take care of Musa while Mizz Nina was away in Japan for work.
“I signed his statutory declaration (SD) in front of his employees without the presence of a commissioner of oaths. I didn’t know whether it was valid or not at the time,” she said. The woman then added that she had no idea about the Hujan member’s plan to take Musa away. She also shut down rumours that she was paid by Mizz Nina to back her up, saying that no bribery was involved and that the former rapper is the child’s only legal guardian.
When asked about Noh exposing her full name as well as the child’s face on social media, the woman admitted that she was upset by the whole ordeal and that every statement released by the rock vocalist had been untrue. “It started getting weird when he told me to block Nina’s phone number. So my intention here is just to tell the truth after seeing what has happened.”
Meanwhile, Mizz Nina herself revealed the damage caused by her ex-husband after her son was returned to her. In her statement, she claimed that her son is currently suffering from emotional and mental trauma after being taken away from loved ones for a few weeks. “Imagine his horror that he couldn’t find his mother. Nowadays, it seems he has lost trust in me as he’s afraid that I might abandon him whenever I need to leave the house,” she said.
Apart from that, the 42-year-old stated that she and her husband Essam Muhammad brought him to see several psychological and medical experts since he has been experiencing diarrhoea and frequent vomiting.
As for Noh, he previously told the media that he has joint custody over Musa, claiming that it was granted by the birth mother. He also challenged his ex-wife to provide proof that she’s the boy’s only legal guardian. This issue may take a while to be resolved but we honestly hope that the child will not be severely affected by this whole drama.
