Update:

Jessie Chok was found earlier today (8th February), deceased, in her car at the Genting rest stop.

Original story is as follows:

A family in Kepong has been left distressed after one of their own, 32-year-old Jessie Chok Kar Hei (卓家希) has seemingly gone missing. To date, Jessie has been missing for nine days without any news. Her family is now appealing for help from the public.

Just yesterday (6th February), a plea was posted online by Jessie Chok’s family and friends, asking for help from the public. They are currently hoping for information on her whereabouts, be it a sighting of Jessie or her car.

Jessie was reportedly last seen on 29th January at 6:51pm at an apartment in Kepong. CCTV footage showed her driving away with her car, a dark grey Subaru XV with the number plate F6629 prior to going missing. At the time, she was wearing a red top and shorts. Her passport was also found at her residence, indicating she was not travelling internationally.

A police report has already been filed, but Jessie’s brother and cousin recently reached out to the Federal Territory Complaints and Legal Bureau vice-chief Deric Teh (郑成隆) to issue a public notice. According to Deric Teh, the family has been searching for Jessie everywhere, including hospitals, and requesting for information about her online.

“We also tried to contact Jessie many times but her mobile phone was always turned off,” Deric told China Press. With no new information, her family’s concern for her wellbeing and safety has only grown. Deric hopes Jessie will be able to safely contact her family as soon as possible.

For those who do have information on Jessie Chok or her vehicle, they are urged to contact her brother Elwin Chok at 01127563069, her friend June at 0143114310 or the police at 0122069722/03-62742222.

Our hearts go out to Jessie Chok’s family and friends. We sincerely hope Jessie is safe, wherever she is, and pray she will return to her family soon. In the meantime, do be on the lookout for her.
