If you run an illegal business or attend an illegally organised party, chances are, you’ll get raided by the authorities and government bodies once there’s enough evidence for them to investigate the matter. Some have tried to make a run for it after being swarmed by police officers but unfortunately for them, there was nowhere to hide.
A video recently went viral in Singapore that showed an alleged raid that was claimed to have taken place in the neighbouring country but as it turns out, the incident actually took place in KL. Here’s what happened:
A few days ago, the admin for the robinhoot.sg Instagram account posted a video of women in sexy party outfits running away from an unspecified building during an alleged raid. The video was claimed to have happened somewhere in Singapore not too long ago as the caption included the hashtags #singapore, #singaporelife and #thisissingapore.
However, netizens were quick to find out that this particular incident did not actually occur in the neighbouring country but rather in our own. After the post went viral, many pointed out that the alleged raid actually happened at Solaris Mont Kiara.
The original video was posted by the Malaysia Nightlife TikTok channel where they showcase all the cool party scenes around Malaysia. The channel also posted a video of the same night from another angle taken by someone who was at the scene of the alleged raid. From the comments, the women fleeing the Solaris were assumed to be foreigners with one netizen, who claimed to work in the area, clarifying that they were from Thailand.
While the source and location of the viral video have been identified, there is currently no information on which government body raided the area. Guess we’ll never know what actually happened that night or if there was any arrest made. Watch the original videos below:
