Most will agree that Malaysia is a nice place to live and as it turns out TVB actor Owen Cheung (张振朗) is in agreement too! After a recent trip here, the 36-year-old artist claimed he was rather interested in settling in Malaysia, much to fans delight.

Just yesterday (28th January), Owen Cheung and fellow TVB actress Katy Kung (龚嘉欣) came to Malaysia for the “Unifi TVxTVBAnywhere” launch. While visiting Malaysia, Owen shared a few reasons why he wouldn’t mind living in Malaysia.

According to Katy, she teasingly shared that Owen had already been very keen on living in Malaysia the second they touched down in the country. “He’s already considering buying a house here!” Katy said. Owen agreed, saying: “I like the environment here, the whole environment is very comfortable.”

However, Owen added that he did have one worry when coming to Malaysia. Apparently, the actor was concerned he would gain weight easily here. “Because the food here is so delicious,” he explained. “If I didn’t have to perform today, I would have eaten a lot of food!”

Owen also shared that his favourite Malaysian food is prawn noodles. But, apparently, he had other plans after the event. “Tonight, I can finally go crazy and eat something I have never had before,” he happily told the crowd. He also claimed he loved coming to Malaysia as “the (people) here are always very enthusiastic“.

As for Katy Kung, she stated that she loved making various cuisine and hoped to make Malaysian food eventually. “If I can cook (it), then I can let my friends in Hong Kong taste Malaysian food,” she said. She also shared that she wouldn’t mind dating a Malaysian man in her quest for love.

TVB Actress Katy Kung Wants To Marry A Malaysian Man?

Well, we’re certainly happy to hear that Owen Cheung wouldn’t mind living in Malaysia and we’re sure there’s plenty of fans who would love to see the actor around here. Who knows? Perhaps he will settle here, someday!
