They say nothing lasts forever – and after two and a half decades of operations, MPH Bookstore in Mid Valley will be saying goodbye to their loyal customers. The bookstore will be open until the end of the month before making its way to The Exchange TRX.
MPH announced the news through their official website and social media pages, sharing that they will be holding a moving-out sale until 31st January to facilitate the closure. Many fans were shocked by the sudden news as there were no prior hints of closing down. According to the bookstore, their last day of operations is 31st January.
However, there is good news behind the closure as MPH announced a new outlet at The Exchange TRX. While some aren’t too happy with the news, others were glad that the bookstore isn’t closing down for good. There is no news on the opening date for their outlet at The Exchange TRX, but MPH has confirmed that it will be sometime this year. The bookstore also has other outlets still in operation, including NU Sentral, Publika and Setia City Mall.
Through their website, MPH also shared a thank you letter for customers for all the support for the past 25 years, adding that the Mid Valley branch signified a pivotal point in their history that helped shape the brand’s approach to bookselling. The bookstore also thanked Mid Valley Megamall for “being a gracious landlord for a quarter of a century”. As for the moving-out clearance sale, there will be discounts of up to 90%, but it is only available for walk-in customers.
Thank you for the past 25 years, MPH Mid Valley! We can’t wait to see what the bookstore has planned for the future!
