Late last month, Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes spoke out about the double standard he faced. The 59-year-old believed it was unfair that cosplayers could walk around shirtless in public while he was shamed for doing the same in the comfort of his own conference room.
While he was just poking fun at the situation, he was still met with criticisms from netizens about the so-called “unfairness”. It seems that he’s not going to let this issue go that easily as he posted a video of his determination to get fit.
@tonyfernandesairasia What am I craving for?
A couple of days ago, Tony Fernandes posted a video on his Instagram and TikTok page of him giving a brief tour of, what appears to be, the AirAsia headquarters at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 2 in Sepang, Selangor. While going down the lift, the founder revealed his resolution to get a 6-pack after constantly being body-shamed.
“I’m always craving for chocolate but I’ve been body-shamed many times so I’m gonna build a 6 pack. I’m trying to get rid of that craving,” he said. The businessman then proceeded to show viewers around the AirAsia space before revealing that he too had played on the slide adding that it has become easier for him to climb up the steps after losing weight.
Unlike last time, netizens were more supportive in the videos’ comments section. Many showed their support and gave words of encouragement for Tony to achieve his goals. Others gave advice on what he could do about his cravings.
Whether or not he achieves his goal of getting 6-pack abs this year, it’s still good that Tony wants to live a healthier lifestyle. All the best to the Air Asia chief and may we all achieve our 2024 resolutions.
