It’s completely understandable why many would not want to eat out as there have been multiple reports of customers finding things they shouldn’t in their food. Previously, a woman found a dead lizard in her nasi lemak and prior to that, a restaurant customer found a cockroach in their sandwich.

This man very recently found out something absolutely revolting about a restaurant in Klang. Imagine eating your meal on a plate that was washed in a trash bin. The thought of it is enough to make anyone sick. Watch:

Over the weekend, a netizen who goes by Elyas Yusri posted several videos on Twitter of something he witnessed outside of a Mamak restaurant in Bandar Botanik, Klang. In the first and second video, he showed a staff member seemingly washing or dipping the plates in a green trash bin located at the back of the restaurant. Suspicious about what he saw, the netizen took a closer look and it was then shown that the trash bins were filled with dirty water.

Disgusted, the Twitter user confronted the staff members about the hygiene issue. “They washed their dishes by dipping the plates into the trash bins. They told me that the bins were only for soaking the dishes. Why don’t you just buy a plastic wash basin? If any of you are familiar with this restaurant, please be careful. If you see them doing this again, file a report,” he wrote.

As expected, netizens were also disgusted by the staff “washing” their dirty dishes in dirty water in a trash bin. Many tagged the Ministry of Health (KMM), Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and the Food Safety and Quality Program to investigate and take action against the restaurant. When asked about which restaurant it was, the uploader replied that it was the Chennai Spice Restaurant.

At the time of writing, there has been no response from KKM or MPK regarding the viral videos and Chennai Spice Restaurant has yet to release a statement. We don’t know about you but we definitely hope that something is done soon so that people won’t get sick from the restaurant’s poor hygiene.

In the meantime, if you wish to report or file a complaint about a food establishment, you may do so by following the guide provided below.
