Last week, a Twitter user decided to expose a middle-aged man for allegedly hogging a seat on the LRT with his bag and refusing to let anyone take the seat away. While it seemed like your average Twitter story, it actually turned into something bigger after more netizens shared their encounters with the same man.
According to several netizens, the man, believed to be the same individual who took off his shoes and started eating on the LRT, is known by many for his odd behaviour. One Twitter user shared that the man is no stranger to “making the LRT his home”, adding more information about the man, like where his stop is and where he lives.
Came across this guy in 1utama and saw him casually littering at Coffee Bean 🙄 didn’t buy anything, just sat down, threw his trash on the floor and table, then up and left. https://t.co/xexNH9isG0 pic.twitter.com/ynPvcRgi8y

Another user shared that the same man had once peeled garlic while on the train and was snacking on raw asparagus at the same time. Surprisingly, snacking is the least the man does as another netizen shared that the man would even dine on a whole meal while on the train. In the photo shared, the man is seen with several food containers and hogging three seats to accommodate him, his bag and the food.
However, the man’s antics are not limited to the LRT coach because many netizens claimed to have encountered him in cafes and convenience stores. In one video, the man had supposedly littered while at a Coffee Bean outlet. The video owner also claimed that the man did not order anything from the cafe and used a table to pack his own food before leaving with his trash still on the table. One Twitter reply also revealed that the man had also frequented convenience stores in his area to heat his own food.
The man’s antics have garnered mixed reactions, ranging from anger to sympathy. Many users have urged authorities to take action on the man for causing public nuisance – but some also joked that the man’s unbothered ways are somewhat impressive. However, others have pointed out that the man may suffer from a disorder that causes him to behave in such a manner, especially in public.
What do you think about these tweets about the man? Do you think he’s just an inconsiderate person? Or are netizens right to say he needs help?
