Love may be blind, but even so, some love just isn’t meant to be. This local netizen certainly knows it, especially since he’s in love with his friend’s mom!
A post on Dcard has been going viral recently, penning someone’s forbidden love. The Malaysian netizen admitted that he knows it’s wrong, but he doesn’t want to stop. Needless to say, his story has left others confused and bewildered by his bizarre admission.
The post starts out with a very strong title: “Having fantasies about my friend’s mom“. According to the Malaysian netizen, he and his friend met in middle school and have been fairly close ever since. He shared that his friend is from a single-parent family as his mother gave birth to him when she was young, while his dad is not in the picture as he already has a family of his own and did not want to take responsibility for them.
Despite knowing each other for so long, the netizen shared that he never had the opportunity to visit his friend’s house, until recently. When he was staying overnight, he met his friend’s mom. “She (had) maintained her looks and is probably only in her early 30s. She was beautiful and softspoken.” he shared. The duo clicked well, their topics never-ending and apparently, it was enough to make him fall in love with her.
“Later, I would find opportunities to go to his house, but in fact, I just wanted to get close to his mother,” the netizen admitted. Their relationship has certainly improved as he then shared that they were now chatting on WeChat about trivial life things.
The netizen added that he doesn’t care about their age gap, chalking it up to the fact that he’s never been in love. He also shared that his friend has yet to notice anything, but to him, things have been progressing but he doesn’t want to stop. “Am I that bad?” he wondered. “You treat me as a friend, but it turns out I want to be your father.”
Netizens have since flooded the comments sections with their disbelief. Some asked if he was “dreaming”, another marvelled at how easily people could “play around” now. One questioned: “Have you even asked your friend first?” while another netizen suggested going for it anyway.
That is going to be one awkward conversation if he ever decides to discuss the issue with his friend. Well, we can’t speak for him, but hopefully, he makes a good choice. After all, there’s always other fish in the sea.
