With that being said, a high salary does attract a lot of people to apply for the job. Netizens were definitely surprised to find out that this restaurant in Kuala Lumpur is offering job positions with very high salaries. Watch:

A few days ago, a netizen who goes by @aznahabas posted a video on her TikTok channel that showed job vacancies at the soon-to-be-opened Tai Er Suan Chai Yu restaurant (太二酸菜鱼) at the newly-opened Pavilion Damansara Heights. As seen in the video above, several jobs were listed along with their respective salaries.
The TikToker was very surprised and impressed by the salaries offered and compared the Restaurant Manager’s salary being the same as a Bank Manager’s. Here are the job positions listed and their salaries:
- Restaurant Manager – RM8.5K
- Head Chef – RM7K
- Assistant Restaurant Manager – RM4.5K
- Management Trainee – RM3.7K
- Service Crew – RM3K
- Dishwasher – RM3K
- Part-Time – RM12/H
The TikTok post went viral with many netizens jokingly expressing their interest in getting the position of dishwasher at Tai Er since the starting salary is higher than most jobs in Malaysia. Meanwhile, others shared that although the salary may be good, working in the Food and Beverages (F&B) industry is not for everyone as it can be extremely stressful.
One would have to endure long working hours, rude customers and may also have to work on public holidays. If you have experience working in F&B then perhaps this may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
