Hong Kong actor Charlie Cho (曹查理) has been around since the 1980s and 1990s, impressing the audience with his supporting roles. Well, thanks to his time in the industry, this grizzled senior has plenty to share, both about the good old days and his experience with acting jobs.
Charlie Cho’s latest work casts him in the upcoming drama “Business Proposal (社內相親)” and during their recent press conference, Charlie shared some fairly interesting tidbits, including what he thinks of actress Amy Yip (叶子楣)’s appearance!
Amy Yip and Charlie Cho have quite a bit of history together, often appearing in the same films. But, it has apparently been a long enough time that Charlie hoped to have a chance to act with the busty actress again and during the press conference, held on 7th November, he mentioned as such.
Charlie shared he hoped to invite Amy to film a comedy with him. However, he had been caught off-guard by her appearance when he first laid eyes on her after so many years. “I’ve been looking for her these past few days, but she’s (still) the same person I met back then. She’s the same from the neck down, but different from the neck up,” he teasingly commented.
When asked if he was disappointed by Amy’s current appearance, Charlie reportedly admitted he was. “I’ve been in contact with her on the phone before,” he shared. “Afterwards, she sent something to me and I was really shocked when I saw it. Why (does) she look so much like my niece?”
As it turns out, Charlie Cho has his own quirks. One of them involved his insistence on using his own clothes when filming. Allegedly, Charlie’s reasoning for that is so they will have to call him in again if they needed to reshoot the scene. “It’s hard to find food,” he quipped.
Well, Charlie Cho certainly makes himself out to be a colourful character. Perhaps one day, we will get the opportunity to see Charlie and Amy Yip on screen together again.
