We watched the curtain rise on TGV Cinemas Pavilion Bukit Jalil, got into gear at the launch of Ford’s latest SUV and pickup truck, raised the roof at the unveiling of Breitling’s Aviation collection and MUCH, MUCH MORE! UNIQLO Unveils Revamped Fahrenheit88 Store
Following a five-month closure for renovations, the UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 store was relaunched as a three-story shopping haven. Yuki Yamada, Group Executive Officer of Fast Retailing and Chief Executive Officer of UNIQLO Malaysia and Singapore said: “We are genuinely thrilled about the grand reopening of UNIQLO Fahrenheit88. Since its opening in 2010, UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 has not only been a go-to shopping destination for the locals, but also a beacon for tourists from across the globe. It has seamlessly become a part of Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant lifestyle, meeting the diverse fashion preference of both locals and global visitors.”
Some highlights and features of the UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 Store:
- UNIQLO Coffee – the first of its kind in Malaysia, offers both takeout and dine-in options, inviting customers to savor UNIQLO’s unique coffee blend.
- Special collaboration with Red Hong Yi – the interior’s floral design motif embodies UNIQLO’s inclusive philosophy, “Made For All,” exclusively accessible for UTme! customization at UNIQLO Fahrenheit88.
- RE.UNIQLO Studio – introduces additional repair and embroidery services, fostering a circular economy and embodies the brand’s enduring dedication to sustainability.
- UT and UTMe! – feature motifs from pop-culture icons and allow customers to personalize T-shirts and tote bags with their designs or existing motifs, adding a unique touch.

IKEA X AFTONSPARV Collection Launch
Malaysia’s first astronaut, Dato’ Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, partnered up with IKEA Malaysia for the launch of AFTONSPARV, the brand’s new space-themed kids’ collection. From cuddly soft toys to cardboard spaceships and tent rockets, the range aims to spark imagination, creativity, and a sense of adventure among budding astronauts and explorers.
In conjunction with the launch, Dato’ Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar will be visiting these IKEA outlets nationwide:

SKECHERS X DC Collaboration Launch
Inspired by Superman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and beloved villain, Harley Quinn, Marvel fans now have the chance to channel their favourite DC superhero (or baddie) with the brand new SKECHERS x DC Footwear Collection. During the recent launch, we also got to check out the UNO collection, kids footwear, and apparel inspired by the iconic DC characters.
The SKECHERS X DC Collection is available at selected SKECHERS concept stores, including 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Sunway Pyramid, Suria KLCC, Pavilion KL, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Pavilion Damansara Heights. The collection will also be available online, exclusively via the SKECHERS website, Shopee and Lazada.

Breitling Aviation Collection Launch
Not only are watches used to tell the time of day, but they can also level up your fashion game! Some were designed for fun, the outdoors, or even the fashion runway – and speaking of runways, who would’ve thought that watchmakers could be inspired by aviation?
We got to attend the launch of Breitling’s latest Aviation Collection at EQ Kuala Lumpur Hotel, recently. While the Avenger collection has been around for 20 years, Breitling believed that it was time to give the collection a brand-new look and feature updates that meet the demands of the skies! And so, voila, a gorgeous collection inspired by airplanes!

GSC Launches Velvet Boutique Cinema
Inspired by ’60s retro cinema, Velvet presents an intimate space where audiences can relive the magic of classic movies. Housing 163 seats in 3 halls, Velvet will showcase a dedicated line-up of arthouse films, cult classics, foreign films, and Hollywood blockbusters covering a range of genres, including horror, thriller, comedy, action, and more.
Velvet will host an opening promotion, with tickets priced at RM140 per pair (RM70 per pax) on weekdays (Monday-Thursday), and RM180 per pair (RM90 per pax) on weekends** (Friday – Sunday). Standard ticket prices are RM200 per pair (RM100 per pax). With plush twin seats to cozy up to, a majority of tickets are sold in pairs, with a limited number of single seats available. TGV Cinemas Pavilion Bukit Jalil Launch & “The Marvels” Screening
The day finally came! TGV Cinemas officially launched at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and we were there for the grand opening ceremony, and even got a tour of the newly-opened cinema. What’s great about this outlet is that it’s the first cinema in Malaysia to feature IMAX with Laser Systems and 12-channel Sound Technology, which provide movie-goers with a fully immersive and multidimensional realistic sound, with brighter, more lifelike images that have deeper contrasts in colour.
What better way to celebrate the grand opening of the new TGV location than to watch Marvel Studios’s latest movie “The Marvels”, starring Oscar-winner Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani! The movie serves as the sequel to the “Captain Marvel” movie, which was released back in 2019, and also the continuation of the “Wandavision” and “Ms. Marvel” TV series on Disney+.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Undetectable, Undercover Pop-up
We went on an undercover quest at the launch of the Undetectable, Undercover Pop-up by MAKE UP FOR EVER. The quaint little pop-up seamlessly blends with the exterior of the Sephora store at Fahrenheit88 – but this pop-up has tons of things to offer on the inside. Stepping into it, we were greeted by three stations, where guests could interact with and win exclusive freebies. And if you complete a couple of quests, an Express Touch-Up session using products from the HD Skin franchise could be yours!
We of course have to mention the wonderful photo spot at the front of the pop-up, which includes a huge replica of the MAKE UP FOR EVER New HD Skin Concealer! We also heard that MAKE UP FOR EVER Malaysia is holding a giveaway for anyone who snaps a pic (or two) at this photo zone – so check out their Facebook for more details!

First National Geographic Apparel Store In Southeast Asia Launch
National Geographic Apparel opened its first Southeast Asia store – and we had the honour of attending the grand opening! As a brand synonymous with world-class exploration, National Geographic brings only the best of outdoor and lifestyle apparel and accessories to their new store, located in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
We checked out all the good stuff NatGeo has to offer, including premium gear for both men and women. Not only does the store carry outdoor apparel like windbreakers and trekking shoes, but you can also find lifestyle accessories like backpacks and beanies. If you love exploration and nature just as much as NatGeo does, check out the store at Pavilion KL (Lot L5.01.06).

Launch Of Omno Personal Care Line
We stepped into the world of Omno, where personal care meets a commitment to environmental harmony. This line of meticulously-designed products was first conceptualised in Singapore and it’s finally available in Malaysia. At the launch, we got to learn more about the brand, the products and Omno’s devotion to enhancing your daily ritual, while supporting a sustainable future for the planet.
During the event, guests were treated to a wonderful array of food and beverages, curated especially to create an immersive experience with the Omno product line. Omno founder Carmen also shared with us her vision for Omno in a session with model Alexis SueAnn. We also got to try the products ourselves after a revitalising exercise session headed by Tribe Malaysia. All of Omno’s products, from their body cleansers to their candles, are now available for Malaysian customers at their online store.

Ford Ranger Platinum & Ford Special Edition WildTrak Launch
We were at Ginger KL for Ford’s double launch of their most powerful and luxurious pickup truck and SUV, which are going to hit Malaysian streets soon: the Ford Ranger Platinum and the Ford Special Edition WildTrak. We also had the opportunity to hop aboard one of Ford’s flagship vehicles, and the inside was just as stunning and rugged as it is on the outside.
Though the stereotypical image of the pickup truck is that it’s only for adventurous people, the new addition to Ford’s line up is for everyone, from those always on the go, to large families on their way to their next destination. Here’s a little sneak peek at what these two beasts have to offer.

Lost Caverns Of Ixalan Pre-release Event
We dove deep into the earth in order to reclaim stolen lands, but we found new ones instead, as Magic: The Gathering invited us to explore the Lost Caverns of Ixalan. This close-door prerelease event was held at Stranger at 47, leading up to the global official release of this highly-anticipated set.
New and old players alike were given the opportunity to be the first to experience the latest cards in the world’s oldest trading card game. But before that, we were asked to first navigate our way through a dangerous tunnel system. Though seemed easy at first, among the crowd were nasty pirates whose main intent was to trap others and doom their expedition.
Some persevered, some were lost, but all of us got the opportunity to assemble our deck and fight against each other with armies of our own design. We called up the ancient world’s gods, vampires, warriors, and dinosaurs to fight for us, and it was a blast. You can pick up the latest set on Friday, 17th November, and decide the fate of this newly rediscovered world.

Christmas is coming and everyone is already gearing up for the festive season. Of course, that includes Nespresso! Ayuwan X Ernie Zakri Launch
The prestigious local scarf brand Ayuwan, known for its commitment to quality and elegance, recently named Ernie Zakri as its official brand ambassador. The appointment heralds a new age of sophistication and flair in scarf fashion.
The big reveal coincided with the release of Ernie’s most recent scarf collection, “AURA.” The gorgeous singer graced the launch and signed a specially-made plaque with a picture of herself decked up in the brand’s gorgeous scarves.
