We’re often told to “never meet your heroes”, and for good reason but a recent interaction with Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Ka-fai (梁家辉) left this flight attendant delighted to witness his true character.
Most celebs tend to be very different in person and on camera, understandably so. But, according to this stewardess on a private jet, the four-time winner of the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor left her impressed after he offered to help her out with her duties on the plane!
The stewardess made the post on 小红书, claiming that her job often led her to meet many celebrities. “I have seen too many roles created by movie stars (so) I always feel that these Hong Kong actors are very different,” she admitted but her experience with actor Tony Leung Ka-fai was a pleasant surprise.
She explained she had flown with Tony a while ago and the experience left her admiring his good qualities. “Their politeness and sophistication astonished me, (as) someone who has met many celebrities. (He) didn’t bother us flight attendants about anything during the whole (flight) and (he) even wanted to come to the kitchen to help us!” she recalled.
The private jet stewardess also shared a few selfies she had managed to take with Tony, reassuring netizens they had been taken and uploaded with his consent. “Guests on business jets are usually high-end (folk),” she explained. “Usually the customers we receive are confidential, so, of course, we can only take photos with them with their consent.”
Despite his fame, 65-year-old Tony Leung Ka-fai has always been known for his friendly demeanour, and his penchant for accepting photo requests from enthusiastic fans, even during his private downtime.
Still, it’s one thing to hear about it and another to witness it for yourself. We’re certainly delighted this particular netizen got the opportunity to meet Tony Leung Ka-fai in person and see his real self without any airs!
