It has been about three months since Hong Kong singer Coco Lee (李玟) passed away, leaving her family, friends and fans with a void. Unfortunately, her passing was marred by the drama between her husband, Bruce Rockowitz and her family, mainly over her inheritance.
Well, after Coco was finally laid to rest at the end of last month during her funeral, many have been wondering what would happen to said inheritance. As the rumours started up again, Coco Lee’s sister has since come forward to clarify how her inheritance will be distributed.
Nancy Lee (李思林), Coco Lee’s second-oldest sister has been very involved in Coco’s affairs, often speaking on behalf of her family. As such it was no surprise when she clarified ongoing rumours surrounding Coco’s inheritance to the public.
Allegedly, Coco had left behind roughly HK$1 billion (~RM605 million) to be shared out, but Nancy claims the inheritance amount is not as much as people think. She also added they will be distributing the inheritance according to Coco Lee’s final wishes. As for rumours about disputes between her and Bruce regarding the fortune, Nancy has claimed they are false.
However, Nancy has claimed they will be hopefully auctioning off Coco’s many, various dresses, which reportedly consists of over a hundred pieces. Nancy believes Bruce will not be taking possession of these dresses, and will be sending them back to the Lee family. Proceeds earned from the auction will reportedly be donated to charity to honour Coco’s generous spirit and continue her legacy.
Coco Lee’s ashes will supposedly be buried at the end of this month, supposedly in Wuhan, China according to previous statements made by her sister. We hope she will rest in peace and we hope matters of her inheritance will also be laid to rest with this conclusion.
