Many Malaysians tune into radio shows daily to check out the latest chart-topping songs, breaking news and the entertaining DJs who make the long commute more bearable.
One of Malaysia’s top DJs is Jack Lim (吴家润), who has been a host for MYfm since 2002. For the past 21 years, his voice has brightened up Malaysians’ mornings – and it looks like all that hard work has paid off well because the 48-year-old recently revealed that he earns a six-figure monthly salary from the radio station.

During his appearance on the MYfm reality show, “I Easy Mou”, Jack’s colleague DJ Yoon (吳家家) asked about the salary he now commands after spending over two decades hosting on the radio station. After teasing the crowd, the celeb finally revealed that he earns a six-figure sum as a basic monthly salary. However, Jack also mentioned that he hasn’t been concerned about his earnings from the radio show for the past ten years. Jack is also known for his acting roles and endorsement deals and while he has never disclosed the amount, it has been hinted that he earns a hefty sum from his other gigs.
The amount shocked some of the other participants, who never expected the DJ to receive such a high salary. Interestingly, Jack may not be the only one earning that figure because DJ Yoon may have let it slip that she also earns a similar salary when she said, “You have to bear in mind. We don’t just join the station and immediately earn a six-figure salary,” prompting the others to tease her about possibly earning the same.

We’re sure that amount is well-deserved considering the years of dedication that Jack has put into the station – but what do you think about his salary?
