Louis Koo Tin-lok (古天樂) and the cast of “Behind The Shadows” (尾随) were recently in Kuala Lumpur for the press conference of their latest movie project. This is a huge deal cause “Behind The Shadows” marks the actor’s first movie investment in Malaysia.
As aforementioned, Behind The Shadows” is being co-produced by Malaysian film company One Cool Film and Hong Kong film company Filmforce Studio. During the media round-table session, the 52-year-old legendary actor was asked about the biggest obstacle of filming in Malaysia. His candid answer is something we Malaysians can relate all too well.
In speaking to the local media, Louis said that he didn’t expect the Malaysian traffic to be as bad as it is post pandemic. It doesn’t help that filming is currently taking place within Klang Valley. “It’s actually a good thing because I get to rest in the car. I could take three naps in the car and we’ve still not arrived at the destination yet,” the superstar quipped.
Louis also joked that one could probably leave the vehicle, finish a bowl of Wanton noodles, and return to the car – because traffic jam in KL can sometimes come to a standstill. “However, it’s only during peak hours, the same destination can be reached in 10 minutes at night if it takes an hour during busy hours,” he added.
Of course there are still plenty of things he loves about our dear country – such as our variety of good food, the people, as well as traditional buildings that are rarely sighted in Hong Kong due to the high development there.
We also spoke to Malaysian YouTuber Phei Yong about his first working experience with Louis Koo. It was interesting to say the least. Watch it here.
