To say the upcoming Deadpool 3 film has Marvel fans on the edge of their seats is an understatement. Fans have been scraping every morsel of information or rumour, no matter how mundane, just to sate their curiosity. One such rumour that caught many off guard is that Daniel Radcliffe will be the next Wolverine.
The idea that the Chosen One of the Wizarding World will turn into the most lethal killing machine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) seems like a farfetched notion, but after Radcliffe’s showing in the TV series Miracle Workers, people have started singing a different tune.
In the world of film, there are some actors who were just made for one role, like Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada, and so on. Hugh Jackman is also famously known as the one and only Wolverine, and he has forever been associated with that role since the early 2000s. However, one glaring issue comic fans have with Jackman is his height. Logan, in the comics, is 1.6 metres (5 feet 3 inches), while the Australian actor is a towering 1.90 metres (6 feet 3 inches) – though that problem is easily mitigated by his legendary acting chops.
Of course, one day, he will have to hang up his claws for good, and someone has to take up the mantle, and many believe that someone will be Radcliffe. Many believe that he makes the cut solely for his height, but he proved naysayers wrong when he showed off his ripped physique in the finale of the TV series Miracle Workers.

Each season of the show sees Radcliffe portray a different character; in the most recent, he has been Sid, a road warrior in the vein of Mad Max. In one scene, he is shown ripping off his clothes to reveal his muscular body before ripping off the limbs of robots while in his underwear. Following the broadcast of the scene, many viewers predicted that Radcliffe would be cast as Wolverine in the MCU for the upcoming X-Men reboot.
According to reliable insider Daniel Richtman, the beloved Harry Potter star is joining the cast of the MCU in a “secret” role. Though fancasts have made him into the terrifying Agent 10, there is no confirmation of what his exact role will be. Many speculate that he will replace Jackman, letting the legend retire from the role if not from the industry as a whole.

However, other people speculate that Radcliffe will be a variant of Jackman, similar to how Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are variants of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man or various iterations of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in the TV series of the same name. But people are worried that it might be as bad as John Krasinski’s Mr. Fantastic in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film.
Radcliffe even acknowledged the rumours in an interview with Jimmy Fallon during the Tonight Show over a year ago, where he discussed his height making him perfect for the role, and that he was extremely flattered by comparisons made between him and Jackman. Regardless of what it may be, we eagerly await to see if these rumours are true or if they are just another pipe dream.
