As the King and Queen, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah, continue their “Kembara Kenali Borneo” programme, the locals take to social media to share all their amusing interactions with the royal couple.

At the moment, His Majesty and Her Majesty are touring Sarawak, where the locals have been very welcoming because some are even eager to treat them to some fried chicken. Shared through TikTok, a KFC employee posted about his experience meeting our King and Queen as their convoy passed by the fast food chain in Niah, Sarawak.

In his video, the KFC staff member showed off two bags filled with KFC goodies and wrote, “Let’s treat Agong (to) KFC at Niah, Sarawak”, before sharing the moment when he passed them to His Majesty. He added that the King thanked him for the meal after he passed him the bags.

Many netizens have shared their reactions to the cute interaction and commended the employee for his generosity. Many also said that the man was lucky as not many people get to treat the King and the Queen to some food. Some netizens even found it adorable that Her Majesty immediately opened the bag once it was passed to her, saying she must’ve been hungry during the drive.

It’s been fun seeing all these little anecdotes coming out of the trip and we hope to see more of it as the programme continues.
