Saving money is a highly encouraged habit, regardless of what you do – and when you pair that with patience, you can expect a great reward in return. This Malaysian proves just that.
Shared through the TikTok account, Bifoty Camper, a video shows the man opening up a large, five-gallon water bottle filled with coins – 50 cent coins to be exact.
@bifoty_camper Total RM5360.00 hasil simpan semua duit 50sen..takde duit 10sen@20sen..ambik masa 3jam baru siap kira dengan tenaga 4org tukang kira🤣 alhamdulillah.. #menabung #duitsyiling #50sen #alhamdulillah
According to the captions, the man had saved only 50-cent coins, no 20s or 10s, using the old-school method of using a coin jar and after seven years of saving, his hard work gave him RM5,360 in return. After cutting open the bottle, the man and a group of friends began counting all the saved coins.
The captions revealed that the counting took four people and three hours to complete. The video also showed a comparison image of before and after the process, where the mountain of coins turned into several organised stacks. Many netizens have reacted to the video, praising the man for his dedication to saving the coins.
Some also showed intrigue at all the change in the unassuming water bottle, like one netizen who joked that the bottle was the reason for the shortage of 50-cent coins in recent years. Since the counting process took several “workers”, some netizens also hope that a portion of the RM5,630 will go to repaying their hard work.
Guess this is your sign to start saving, even those leftover change in your wallet.
