Things are heating up as the Miss Hong Kong 2023 (香港小姐競選) finals draw near! And unfortunately, discord seems prevalent between finalists Hilary Chong (庄子璇) and Cindy Chan (陈晓彤).
Earlier this year, Hilary Chong was tripped up by some nasty rumours assasinating her character. As it turns out, the one spreading those rumours was supposedly none other than her fellow competitor, Cindy Chan (陈晓彤)!

The 21-year-old had reportedly been boycotted by her fellow contestants after certain rumours made her unpopular. Hilary had supposedly been described as defiant, snobbish, and “two-faced”. There were also claims that she often attempted to gain favours from staff members by “sweet-talking” them.
Things supposedly eventually calmed down for the group. But, it seems trouble might be starting up again. Yesterday (22nd August), it was discovered that the person behind the rumours might have been Cindy Chan.
Allegedly, Cindy had been confronted about the source of the rumours on 13th August. Additionally, it was revealed that Cindy too would reportedly approach hairstylists under the guise of having smoke together to curry favours.

Well, there’s no denying that the Miss Hong Kong pageant, like any other competition, can sometimes be pretty cutthroat. But, we sincerely wish the girls all the best in the finals, regardless of any fallouts.
