JLo is one of the most well-known people in the world right now. She recently starred in Netflix’s hit crime drama, The Mother; and her outfit choices continue to catch the attention of fashion enthusiasts everywhere. Her rekindled romance with (and subsequent marriage to) Ben Affleck has also received widespread support online. JLo’s life couldn’t be in better shape. And we say the same for her fashion sense!
Since her breakthrough performance as Selena Quintanilla in the 1997 biopic ‘Selena’, JLo has been a style icon. The celebrity started adopting the sexiest fashions as soon as she appeared on the scene. After she released her breakthrough single “If You Had My Love” in 1999, she turned the heat up even higher.
Most of the current trends seen on today’s most popular models, like bare thongs and free nipples, were already pulled off by Lopez in the early 2000s. Exceptionally well, may we add. Gauzy Couture
The “I’m Real” singer proved she was a fashion icon at the 2001 Oscars by showing up in a Chanel Haute Couture outfit straight off the Spring 2001 runway. The two-toned dress also had a bodice that was fully translucent (revealing her breasts) and asymmetrical. The pinnacle of naked dressing.
Plunging Neckline
On February 23, 2000, Lopez, who was up for a Grammy Award for “Best Dance Recording,” made her way down the red carpet, drawing attention to herself. The flowing Versace Spring/Summer 2000-2001 dress she rocked entered the history books as one of the greatest Grammy Awards ensembles, and it was the huge spike in searches that led to the establishment of Google Images. On September 20, 2019, JLo ended the Versace Spring/Summer 2020 show with a reimagined version of the iconic jungle dress, two decades later, and the crowds went crazy at Milan Fashion Week.

JLo was delivering us picture-perfect pinks in her floor-grazing Atelier Versace gown long before the Barbiecore trend appeared. The combination of JLo’s physics-defying haircut, mermaid-style flowing skirt, and strapless corseted bodice created an outfit that had a lasting influence on her fashion development.
Another pink outfit we absolutely love is JLo’s pop pink tulle gown by Giambattista Valli. JLo’s enormous ensemble ensured that her dress took up as much space on the runway as it did in our minds, deviating from her usual line of daring fits. Her top knot, which is widely recognised as being uniquely JLo, revealed a more laid-back and jovial side of the celebrity.
Before Barbiecore became the phenomenon it is now, Lopez was channelling it big time. And she accomplished this by releasing the nipple, while wearing a sheer, high-necked halter dress at the 2000 ALMA Awards.

The founder of JLo Beauty had a clear preference for extremely low-cut clothes in the past. This lacy variation was very seductive.

Selena Quintanilla, a tragically slain Mexican-American singer, served as the inspiration for JLo to begin her acting career. She donned a straightforward pearl-gray gown to the biopic’s premiere, which she accessorised with a faux-fur shawl and glittering rhinestones.
