What is it with in-laws and underwear? We previously had a mother-in-law throw a fit because her daughter-in-law refused to wash her undies, while another decided it was fine to use her daughter-in-law’s panties without permission.
Well, this time, instead of a mother-in-law, this lady was struggling with her aunt-in-law and her allegedly horrible hygiene habits, which again, involved underwear. Needless to say, netizens were quick to join her in her disgust, even giving her suggestions to try.
The lady recently took to Facebook group 毒姑九賤婆媳討論區 to air her grievances and share her story. According to her, she had wanted to avoid conflict among her in-laws and had hoped to buy a house prior to marrying her husband, however, she had gotten pregnant before they managed to get the house. As such, she ended up living with her parents-in-law.
Although she had an amiable relationship with her parents-in-law, she apparently wasn’t on such good terms with her aunt-in-law, who also happened to be living at the house. Things were fine until the aunt basically told her to leave and return to her own home. “When (she said such poisonous words), I knew she had never treated me as a family member,” the lady added.
On top of that, she’s been struggling with the aunt’s unhygienic habits. “Is it acceptable for (someone) to be lying on the bed in my husband’s room without underwear?” she asked, adding that her husband apparently hadn’t seen anything wrong with it. She also alleged that the aunt had refused to clean up after using the toilet, leaving hair and menstrual blood over the floor.
Netizens offered their opinions and suggestions on the issue, with most making it clear that they wouldn’t stand for it either. “Poor hygienic habits,” one commented, while another opined “She’s just challenging your bottom line.”
A netizen also suggested she take photos of the bathroom mess and publicise the issue. Another said: “Ask your husband to communicate (with her).” One even suggested locking their bedroom door and having a family meeting to talk to the family at large. However, most opined the couple should just move out.
Well, family issues, especially from your in-laws can get very messy, so perhaps it would be a wise move for her and her husband to simply move out to avoid the drama instead. We sincerely hope she’ll be able to solve the issue soon at the very least!
