We’ve seen countless videos of people unexpectedly receiving a new car from either their loved ones or even from a total stranger like American YouTuber MrBeast who generously tipped a young waitress with a brand-new Toyota car.
A local man once gifted his girlfriend with a bedazzled pink Porsche for her birthday and it seems that another YouTuber took note of that and surprised his girlfriend with a similar gift. Watch:
Earlier this week, Malaysian YouTuber Dashen posted a video on his channel of him surprising his girlfriend Miki with a brand-new electric car called the Ora Good Cat. He explained that reason he chose this gift was because Miki was having difficulties commuting around and that he would usually have to be her driver whenever she requires it.
The content creator added that he will only pay for the RM100k downpayment and his girlfriend will have to pay the remaining payment so that she’ll learn to be more independent. “I’m not gifting her the entire car as I want her to service the loan and learn to grow up,” he said. Just like the other men before him, the influencer had the new vehicle delivered and presented to its new owner in a transparent glass case decorated with balloons inside.
Miki was obviously surprised by the gift after she removed her blindfold. At first, she thought her boyfriend was pranking her but then Dashen handed the car keys to her to prove that it was definitely the real deal. Both in the YouTube video and her Instagram post, Miki expressed how much she loves the car’s feminine concept and thanked her boyfriend for the lovely gift.

The video was met with mixed reactions from netizens with some congratulating Miki for her new car while others criticised Dashen for having his girlfriend deal with the remaining payment of the expensive vehicle. Do you think the YouTuber should’ve settled the entire car’s payment or should he have considered another (less expensive) gift for his girlfriend?
