One can’t deny that purchasing a new car can be very exciting and fulfilling, especially if the car is exclusive. Some tend to (shamefully) show their new vehicle off in public while others planned to do something ambitious with their purchase.
According to local news report, a couple wanted to set a new world record after they bought their brand-new car but sadly, that dream has to be put on hold. Here’s why:

A few days ago, a TikTok user who goes by @asrijanggut78 posted a video on his channel of a road accident that occurred in Kuala Lumpur. As seen in the video, a BYD Electric Vehicle (EV) was being dragged away by a tow truck after colliding with a blue Perodua Bezza, and judging by the damage from the impact, this was no minor accident.
Luckily, no serious injuries were reported. According to the video’s caption, the EV owners were supposedly on their way to set a new world record by touring the world with the car, as seen on the vehicle’s bumper stickers. NST reported that the owners of the EV were a couple who recently purchased the vehicle and planned to travel to Thailand, Laos, China, Europe, Africa, and more.
After the collision, it seems that the couple will have to postpone their goal until everything is settled. Netizens commented on the viral TikTok video with most expressing their amusement by the fender bender. Some even pointed out the P license sticker on the back of the EV, questioning if one of them had just gotten their driving license.
At the time of writing, there has been no updates on whether the couple are required to pay the Perodua Bezza’s owner for the damage. Will their dreams of breaking a world record come true? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
