When it comes to losing weight, we often hear that cutting rice and sugar from our diet would be the best method – but this internet personality says otherwise. Liana Rosli, more familiarly known as Kak KM, shared a few opinions in a TikTok video a few days ago on dieting and losing weight.
In her video, the entrepreneur spoke about cutting out rice and sugar from our daily meals to quicken the weight loss process after hearing about it on the radio. However, she doesn’t particularly agree with this method. Here’s her reasoning:
According to the entrepreneur, not eating rice or sugar will bring more negative effects than positive ones. She first highlighted what extreme dieting does to one’s appearance, sharing that not eating sugar or carbohydrates will make one haggard and look old. She also mentioned that only consuming vegetables to lose weight can cause bad breath, restlessness, and also causes a foggy brain.
Many took to the comments to share their opinion on Kak KM’s advice, with several agreeing with the public figure. Those who agreed added that rice can still be consumed moderately and in smaller portions. A doctor also chimed in on the conversation, agreeing with the controversial celeb while sharing his views from a medical perspective.
Even though she’s gotten tons of criticism in the past for a multitude of reasons, Kak KM does occasionally give good advice.
