If you’ve ever lent money to someone, you have to deal with the possibility that they may not pay you back. Unfortunately for this local man, he had to deal with a friend not paying him back for over two years – until now. Of course, to quicken the process, he had to come up with a tactic.

In his tweet, the man known as Alan shared a conversation with an anonymous friend who owed him a large sum of money. According to the screenshot, the friend owes him RM9,000 but has only paid back RM150 within two years. Alan expressed frustration with the issue, especially since the friend would always ignore his messages.

Shortly after sending the message, Alan sent another message – an image of a Siamese bomoh or shaman. While he only meant to send it as a warning, the friend shockingly reacted within minutes, asking Alan for his bank account details. The friend repaid almost half of what he still owes and promised to repay the remainder by the next month.

Many netizens shared their reaction to Alan’s tactic, with most finding the method hilarious. Some even asked for the photo that Alan used, saying they’ll give the tactic a try. However, several netizens were in disbelief at the amount the friend owed, wondering how someone could borrow that much without feeling guilty.

If you have someone who needs a warning to pay back the money they owe, you could try Alan’s tactic – but the results may vary.
