A couple of days ago, a woman who goes by @tzliana_11 on Instagram posted a video of a terrifying experience she had while driving at the Kampung Pandan roundabout. According to her caption, she was driving slowly as she was using Waze to navigate herself when suddenly a foreign man jumped in front of her vehicle in an attempt to be hit. The man apparently then accused the driver of “running him over”.

In that moment of fright, the young woman tried to escape the man, who could’ve possibly tried to rob or scam her into giving him money. The foreign man went as far as climbing onto her car to stop her from driving away. As seen in the video above, the driver panicked and tried to shake him off by driving slowly and frantically honking in hopes that passersby would notice and come to her rescue. The foreigner was also seen peering inside through the windshield.

Thankfully for the victim, a man in a red shirt nearby saw that she was in trouble and rendered his assistance by pulling the offender away from her car to the side of the road as she quickly drove off to the nearest police station to file a report. “If anyone knows who the man in the red shirt is, please tag him. I didn’t get the chance to thank him earlier,” the victim wrote expressing her gratitude to her hero.

@tzliana_11’s post quickly went viral with most netizens sympathising with the victim for having gone through a traumatising experience. Many also thanked the brave local man for coming to her rescue. At the time of writing, there has been no update if the perpetrator has been apprehended by police nor do we have info on whether or not the victim managed to reach out and thank her rescuer.

We hope that the victim is doing better and that appropriate action will be taken against the offender.
