For some students, going to school is fun because you can learn new things and hang out with friends. But for others, going to school causes stress and anxiety. When a young boy in Kelantan was anxious about going back to school after the holidays, his mother knew something was wrong – and she was right.
In a Facebook post, Eyma Ezaideen shared a story about a male teacher at her son’s school who apparently likes to bite students’ faces. It started when she realised her son was often stressed about school. One day, when he returned, Eyma realised he was crying, prompting her to ask him what had happened.
To Eyma’s surprise, her son revealed that a male teacher, Mr. Nor, had been biting him on the face, specifically his lips and nose. The boy’s older siblings had backed up his claims, adding that other teachers are also aware of the teacher’s actions. Horrified by this news, the concerned mother decided to take action against this teacher.
In another Facebook post, the mother shared her son’s detailed account of the teacher’s actions and an audio recording of a female student who had also been bitten on the face by the same teacher. In the post, she also revealed that the school had asked her to remove her postings after it went viral.
In her most recent update on the issue, the mother revealed that she had met with the school principal, who said the school would take stern disciplinary action against him. However, the school did not mention what the actions entailed. Meanwhile, Eyma shared that her son is undergoing treatment for his mental health.
Many concerned parents have reacted to Eyma’s posts and praised her for standing up for the safety of the young children. Some comments even urged her to file a police report against the teacher, worried that the teacher could be a paedophile. When local media asked about the viral issue, Deputy Minister of Education Lim Hui Ying said the ministry would look into this matter.
As of reporting, there have been no updates on the teacher or if the authorities have gotten involved. However, we do hope he gets the punishment he deserves.
