Just last month, Taiwanese artist Aaron Yan (炎亞綸) was put through the wringer when local internet celebrity Raku (邱耀乐, Qiu Yaole) claimed he had been filmed without permission while they had sex. To make matters worse, Yaole was also, at the time, a minor.
Since then, police have apparently been investigating the issue. However, it seems they suspect he may have made more than one sex video of underaged individuals and have been looking into the matter, going as far as to search Aaron Yan’s house!
Earlier today (3rd July) around 10am, Aaron Yan was seen at the police station with two lawyers. According to Chinese media, he was to be questioned by Taipei police’s Women’s and Children’s Protection Division. Police intended to confirm whether the video had been filmed against the will of the victim and whether others had assisted in its filming.
Additionally, there were suspicions that Aaron may have filmed other minors aside from Yaole. As such, police apparently ordered a search on his house, which was done simultaneously with Aaron’s questioning. His tablet and laptop were assumedly seized alongside his mobile phone and other related items.
Aaron’s questioning reportedly ended three hours later. Media who were present at the station took the opportunity to ask Aaron for a statement about the recent allegations involving him potentially having filmed more than one minor secretly. However, Aaron merely reprimanded the media, saying: “Don’t make wild guesses,” before thanking them.
Previously, Yaole had allegedly told the police during his own questioning that Aaron had planned to secretly film them having sex. However, it was later leaked and is counted as a violation of the Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act.
Aaron Yan’s scandal has since affected others, such as his former Fahrenheit (飛輪海) group members Wu Chun (吳尊) and Jiro Wang (汪东城). Still, Aaron seems to be keeping his head down as he works to resolve the scandal with Qiu Yaole.
