A fetish is defined as a strong attraction to a particular object or activity and is typically, but not always, sexual. Some people have normal-ish fetishes and others have somewhat disturbing ones. However, a series of tweets by a group of girls recently exposed one man’s rather interesting fetish: shaved heads.
In the since-deleted tweet, Twitter user ‘A’ shared a glimpse of the messages she had gotten from a local man who often replies to her Instagram stories with an interesting request. In the screenshot, the man, ‘S’, could be seen repeatedly asking her to shave her head. Along with the image, ‘A’ tweeted the caption, “Do you have a fetish for bald girls?”.
While the tweet was to show the weird encounters ‘A’ had with the man, it instead exposed something bigger. It turns out, she wasn’t the only one who got the request because other girls shared that ‘S’ had also contacted them on other platforms.
Under the original tweet, Twitter user ‘B’ shared her conversation with him on Facebook Messenger. In the screenshot, he asked ‘B’ if she would shave her hair if he paid her RM500. The chat between the two ended with her declining the offer.
But it didn’t end there because another girl also shared that she too was asked by ‘S’ to shave her head. Twitter user ‘C’ said she assumed he was only joking when he asked her to shave her head to a buzzcut. Replying to that tweet was another user, ‘D’, who claimed to have met ‘S’ on Tinder, asking her the same request.
The biggest revelation from this story was that ‘S’ had a girlfriend during all these encounters. While replying to the original tweet, Twitter user ‘E’ revealed that the man in all the stories was her boyfriend, sharing that she had only recently dumped him after discovering these tweets online.
She was also unaware he had been talking to other girls and asking them to shave their heads. One user, ‘F’, asked if she knew he had a Tinder account before revealing that she, too, was asked to shave her head to a buzzcut when she matched with ‘S’ on the dating app in March.
As the original tweet raked over a million views, many netizens reacted to the entire saga with responses ranging from disgust to amusement. Also, a quick search shows that shaved head is a real fetish – so whatever floats his boat.
