In the Hong Kong film industry, there are only a few martial artists who have truly left their mark in the film and martial arts world. Loved by many, HK actor and martial arts star, Chan Wai Man (陈惠敏) is one of the few who made it onto this list. The legacy that he left behind is truly one that will forever be remembered by movie lovers.
Today, Chan Wai Man is 79 years old and has barely made much appearance in front of the screens. However, you can still see him attending regular gatherings with his buddies and drinking occasionally with internet celebrities from China. Even at this age, the martial artist is still ‘kicking it’ at social gatherings.
Recently, the martial arts god invited some of his closest friends for a birthday meal at a fancy restaurant. His ‘adopted’ son, Andy, recorded his celebration party and shared it onto Douyin. “Yesterday, we celebrated ‘Big Boss’ Michael Chan Wai Man’s birthday at Hung Hom, are you guys able to make out what he is saying here? Applause should be given to this. Wishing ‘Big Boss’ Michael Chan a Happy Birthday!”
From the video, a lot of people showed up for the legend’s party. The video captured him drinking to a toast for his party. In great spirits and dressed in a smart and clean outfit, he shouted, “The brothers that I have invited for this party, not one of them was absent today. Every single big shots from around Hong Kong, all of them are here!”
Although a birthday party calls for drinks, the cup held up by the actor looks to be a different colour than those around him. Looks like Michael has decided to lead a rather healthy lifestyle and put a rest to overdrinking for his birthday celebration.
It looks like Michael had a really fun time at his 79th birthday party. Here, we would also like to wish the martial arts legend a blessed birthday! We wish you longevity and happiness for all you have contributed to the HK film industry!
