Nowadays, some pirated goods can be very similar to original branded goods. Therefore, one must check twice or thrice before landing your hands on some of these goods. You do not want to end up purchasing a fake branded item like popular Chinese idol, Kwin (木子洋), did.
Recently, a post of Kwin went viral on Weibo. This post showed the singer and model wearing a fake Calvin Klein undergarment. Netizens who came across this post cracked up at Kwin buying a pirated good and it eventually became the talk of the town.
From the picture, Kwin can be seen in a very fashionable outfit. In his hands, he was holding a microphone and posing his arms into a heart for his fans after what looks like to be an on-stage performance. His shirt revealed a bit too much while he was posing for the camera, showing his bright red color Calvin Klein undergarment.
The brand CK has been known to print their brand on the waistband. From the photo, instead of the normal brand name ‘Calvin Klein’, ‘Calvin Kenli’ was printed on it instead. This indicated that this underwear was a fake.
Upon seeing the post, netizens amused that the entertainer couldn’t tell a fake brand from a genuine item. “Hahahaha, I’m dying from laughter.” “Don’t laugh at him, save him some face.” “No matter if it’s fake or real, it’s fine as long as it’s wearable.” “I’m really worried that he will receive underwear the next time he holds a fan sign event.”
Kwin himself even responded to his viral photo by posting on his Weibo. “Alright guys, stop talking about this already. I just didn’t pay attention and bought a fake one. My whole day has just been filled with this.”
The idol’s staff member even offered to buy genuine brand underwear the next time they go shopping.
