Even though you’ve paid a lot of cash to have the best time of your life at a concert, your experience can still be ruined by an unexpected turn of events. For instance, this fan’s seat did not even exist when he went to the BLACKPINK concert in KL earlier this year.
Prior to that, many were disgusted when a couple had no shame in showcasing their excessive public display of affection during a rock concert. Unfortunately for this local DJ, he almost got himself hurt when he confronted a very rude concertgoer.
Local radio announcer Der Ting (德廷) from MyFM recently posted a few videos on his Instagram to share the story of how he almost got into a physical altercation with a rude concertgoer. In his post, the DJ said that an uncle tried to force another audience member into making room for him during the One Love Asia Festival at Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach.
According to the content creator, he recalled the bully telling the man in the red-striped shirt to “move to the back seat” as it was getting a little too crowded (mind you that this was a free-standing event where there were no assigned seats). The man refused to move, which angered the rude concertgoer who then started throwing verbal abuse and that’s when the MyFM announcer had to intervene to help calm the situation.
“I felt that the uncle was being unreasonable as it was a free seating zone, meaning that there’s no such thing as ‘having your own seat’,” the public figure wrote. During the confrontation, the inconsiderate music fan threatened to drag the DJ and the man in red out of the venue to “settle things”. To avoid the situation from escalating, they decided to give the uncle what he wanted.

Despite avoiding a potential physical fight, Der Ting was obviously not satisfied with what happened as this wasn’t the first time he had witnessed this kind of argument at concerts. The local talent ended his post by encouraging his followers to help those in need when they are faced with a bully.
Let’s all remember to be considerate of others at music festivals and assist people in need of our help however we can.
