Everyone wants their wedding day to be a very special day. Well, this newly married couple certainly achieved that when they got fire trucks to escort the bride!
Making memories is part and parcel of a wedding. But this couple from Simpang Renggam, Johor went all out for their wedding day. As the groom is part of the volunteer fire brigade, they managed to get a fire truck for their wedding to make it really special!
The groom, reportedly 25 year old, happens to be the son of the local Volunteer Fire and Rescue Force chairman. However, he too joined the local volunteer fire brigade when he was of age. And although his newly wedded wife is not part of the brigade, previously, she would accompany him to help out when there was a fire.
The chairman of the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Force later shared with China Press that his daughter-in-law had been the one to suggest the idea. Apparently, she believed that being escorted by a fire truck was not only a special and innovative way of making her wedding memorable, it would also garner attention and would perhaps draw others to volunteer for the brigade as well.
“The fire engine we used on the wedding day was not from the fire department,” the chairman added. “(It’s) a (truck) belonging to the volunteer fire brigade.” In addition to the eye-catching fire truck, the bridal procession had also been followed by their patrol car. The chairman later shared that their friends and relatives had certainly felt that the fire engine had made the wedding special.
The newly weds reportedly tied the knot last Saturday (6th May) and are currently residing in Johor Bahru. Well, congrats to the two! We sincerely wish them well as they start their new life as a married couple.
