We always caution vigilance when taking the public transport. After hearing about this sexual assault case on the MRT, it’s clear to see why!
Just yesterday (1st May), this couple had been out visiting KL via the MRT. Unfortunately, their relaxing day off was ruined when someone attempted to sexually assault the woman! Needless to say, both were left shaken and upset by the incident.
According to China Press, the boyfriend had shared the incident via 小红书 (Xiao Hong Shu). Apparently, he and his girlfriend had been taking the Kajang line on the MRT when she was assaulted. The duo had been sitting in a fairly empty train when a man boarded their coach.
They initially found it weird when instead to taking any other vacant seat, the man chose to sit beside the girl instead. As it turns out, their feelings were right about the matter. The boyfriend claims the man suddenly reached over and groped his girlfriend’s chest!
Shocked, she had stared at him in fright but the man did not seem to care. In fact, he even started touching himself in front of the duo. Disgusted, they left the seats. The man only left when the boyfriend wordlessly threatened to take his photo with his mobile phone.
The boyfriend reportedly added that he suspects the man who molested his girlfriend might be a repeat offender. He also asked the public to be more vigilant and aware of their surroundings to avoid such incidents in the future.
Well, we sincerely hope the duo are okay after that shocking and disturbing incident, especially the girl. On that note, if you are taking the MRT, do take care to watch your surroundings. Be it for your own safety or for others, it’ll go a long way in ensuring everyone’s safety.
