As many of you have already known, singer Shila Amzah can speak and sing in multiple languages including English, and Mandarin. The public figure has made a name for herself in both Malaysia and China after participating in “One In A Million” and the “I Am A Singer” competitions.
It looks like a little somebody will be following in her footsteps very soon as she recently shared an update about her adorable little boy Seth Uwais.
Recently, Shila Amzah posted a video on her Instagram of her reading a children’s storybook in Mandarin to her son Seth. In the video, the singer can be heard reading the story in Mandarin first before translating it into English so that her child can understand the language better.
According to the vocalist, her bundle of joy himself approached her to want to learn to speak and read in the language like her. “I was home yesterday and suddenly Seth came to me with this book. I bought this Mandarin book in hopes that one day he might want to learn and yesterday was that day😍,” she captioned the post.
The multilinguist revealed that she was very happy that her 4-year-old could already start reading as she always reads to him and hopes that he’ll be able to read in as many languages as he wants to while growing up. The adorable post was met with positive reactions from fans with many praising the “Cinta Hati” songstress for her fluency in Mandarin.
Some also commented that they wish nothing but the best for the Asia Music Festival winner’s son as children at his age can absorb knowledge very quickly. A few suggested that Shila should speak to Seth in all the languages she knows so that he’ll be able to catch on.
Whether it’s 3 languages or 1 even language, Shila is definitely a proud mom regardless. Who knows, maybe one day Seth might also want to learn how to sing like his mother.
