YouTube group 3P aka Threee Production certainly lives up to their name. One of their members’ Caven Tang recently released his latest song “Beautiful You (美丽的妳)”. As it turns out, he wasn’t just singing a romance song. It was actually a surprise proposal to his girlfriend Amy Ng!
Caven first hinted at the surprise via his socials. “Tomorrow (25th April) is my birthday, and I already have the best gift. But, I’ve also prepared a gift for everyone,” he stated. Well, that ‘gift’ was his announcement that he and Amy are officially engaged!
Caven Tang later admitted that he had written the song for Amy, jokingly claiming she had complained that he had never written a song for her. “This is the first love song I’ve written by myself, so, this is also my first love song written (for) you,” he told her, sweetly adding on his socials: “Everything I want to say is in the song.”
The young artist had apparently gotten it all planned out. Not only did he ensure he sang the song live to his girlfriend, he also got Amy to be part of the song’s MV as a dancer. As such, when he dropped to one knee at the end of the song, she was caught by surprise.
Amy was shocked when someone ran up to Caven mid-song with a ring box, followed by a bouquet of flowers. She could be seen asking him what was happening as he prepared himself, and when she realised it was an actual proposal, she looked absolutely delighted. “Beautiful (woman), will you marry me?” he asked in song, timing it as he knelt on one knee.
Of course, Caven Tang wasn’t going to only ask in song. “Amy Ng!” he said aloud, the couple grinning as they celebrated the special moment together. “Will you marry me?” Amy was speechless but her nod said everything Caven needed to hear. As he poignantly put it later: “Her nod was my best birthday present this year.”
Caven Tang and Amy Ng have been together for over seven years and Caven is also the first of the 3P group to be engaged. Family, friends and fans are delighted for them and have been congratulating the couple on their socials. Many present during the proposal were also spotted shedding tears, including the couple themselves.
