The story of the murder of a popular socialite has left many feeling fearful for their lives. Many also wished to never witness a murder but unfortunately, sometimes, these things are unavoidable.
Earlier this week, a man from Kulai, Johor made a distress call to the police at 1:50pm after he made a chilling discovery. It was reported that a decomposed body was found stuffed in a travel suitcase at the abandoned Kulai Municipal Council’s (MPKu) bus stop.

According to Kulai police Chief Superintendent Tok Beng Yeow, a team of officers as well as the forensic unit were dispatched to investigate the gruesome crime scene. However, it was not mentioned exactly how the witness found the luggage in the first place.
In a statement released by the Kulai district police, it was said that it was difficult for the team to determine the victim’s sex, age, and time of death at the scene as the body was more than 50% decomposed and infested with maggots. Initial results showed that the victim was believed to be a woman around the age of 25 after the body was sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru for post-mortem examination.
Reports also said that the victim is estimated to have died more than 2 weeks ago. “There is also an injury below the victim’s scalp. However, the cause of death is still under investigation,” said Tok Beng Yeow.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. At the time of writing, the victim has yet to be identified and there are also no updates on a possible murder suspect. Kulai District Police urges the public to come forward with any information about the murder or a missing persons case.
