Whether you’re renting or purchasing, finding a place to call your own can be quite a hassle. You ought to be careful when looking through the listings online, especially after someone exposed a luxury condominium to be poorly maintained.
Recently, a netizen shared an apartment unit they found online that was said to have a great view but not necessarily in the way that you think. Here’s what they found:
Last night (Thursday, 7th April), Twitter user @AsyrafRosli_ posted a screenshot of a single-bedroom apartment unit available for rent on Roomz.Asia. What baffled the netizen was the fact that the single bedroom is actually located on the balcony of the apartment unit. Judging from the design, it was speculated that the owner made a partition and turned the small space in the balcony area into a bedroom.
As seen in the photo above, the accommodation is located at Menara U2, nearby Management & Science University in Shah Alam. The post then went viral now reaching over 1.2 million views, 4.5k retweets, 1.2k quotes, and 10.1k likes at the time of writing. Netizens were both flabbergasted and amused by the absurdity of the room wondering if there was no other space in the apartment to place the bedroom in.
Some were also not happy with the renting price of RM600 a month for a “fully furnished” apartment unit with a bedroom that small as they could get the same price for a better unit somewhere else. Others joked that it’s the perfect room that comes with a “solution” to their problems. There were also those who were concerned about the residents’ safety in a room such as this.
According to the owner, the facilities for the apartment include:
- High-speed internet
- Modern room with Smart Lock
- Fully furnished room with air-conditioner, bed, pillow, study table, chair, and wardrobe.
- Water dispenser
- Fridge
- Washing Machine
- Shared Bathroom with water heater
- Housekeeping (Common area)
- Swimming Pool, Gym
- NO HIDDEN CHARGES like admin fees, access card deposits, tenancy agreement fees, or processing fees.
Based on this information, would you consider renting this apartment unit with a balcony bedroom? Perhaps a look at these photos of the whole apartment could help you decide:
