Monkeying Around With Monkey Shoulder
Monkey Shoulder gave us a night full of funky tunes, delicious cocktails and fun activities during its awesomeballz Rewrite The Night event. Staying true to its DNA of being a 100% malt whisky made for MIXING, the free-spirited, fun-loving brand brought some of the city’s best DJs, bartenders and F&B brands together for an epic and unforgettable party.
We even got a premium cocktail demo by the one and only Brendon Khoo, the Regional Brand Ambassador of Monkey Shoulder, who taught us how to make a DELICIOUS Monkey Shoulder cocktail using household items and ingredients that most of us already have in our fridge!

Tim Burton In Da House
We couldn’t wait for the arrival of The World of Tim Burton exhibition – and after travelling the globe, it finally arrived in Kuala Lumpur. We were chuffed to be invited to its premiere at the Toybox Projects pop-up museum at Pavilion Bukit Jalil recently – and we oohed and aahed at Tim Burton’s personal archive of over 500 drawings, paintings, photographs, sketchbooks, moving-image works, and sculptural installations of familiar characters you may remember from his visual artworks and films.
The World of Tim Burton exhibition’s details are as follows:

Clarks & Daiyan Trisha Step Up
Clark’s recently introduced its new Spring/Summer collection collaboration with the one and only Daiyan Trisha and we were there to witness the launch at Mid Valley Megamall!
Apart from the tasty refreshments the store provided us, we were treated to the Malaysian singer talking about the new “Born to Charm” collection – and we couldn’t help but agree that the shoes are to die for. The new collection consists of 10 designs to suit every style, preference, and aesthetic.

Melinda Looi Dresses Up Raya
We recently got up close and personal with Mell by Melinda Looi – the famed designer’s first Raya collection – during its launch at Parkson Elite at Pavilion KL, and needless to say, we were in love! By combining two unlikely elements, denim and heritage style, Melinda had created denim-effect traditional, unisex attire which encourages wearers to get creative with their outfits.
Melinda herself proved how versatile her collection was as she dazzled us with her own ensemble in the store! Actresses Bella Rahim and Maya Karin, as well as influencers Fiqrie (@fiqrieisme) and Dr Ben Gee (@drbengee), were also in attendance at the launch, all boasting pieces from the collection. ‘Family Feud’ Rumbles Into Malaysia
Spend enough time on the internet and there’s no way you’ve not heard of Steve Harvey and the iconic gameshow, “Family Feud”. Well, have we got news for you. “Family Feud” is going to be adapted in Malaysia by Astro! We aren’t kidding when we say it’s shaping up to be quite the show. After all, we got to attend a live showing of the game!
The show is hosted by Nabil Ahmad, Douglas Lim and Dr. J. Ram in their respective languages (BM, English, and Tamil), and the three comedic men gave us a taste of their humour and what the game show will be like, Malaysian-style. With guests like Michael Ang and Lan Solo spicing up the programme, we can happily say that we are looking forward to watching it on Astro.
Currently, the BM version is set to premiere on Astro Ria (Ch 104) on 27th March. “Family Feud Malaysia” in Tamil and English will be showing in May and September respectively on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202) and PRIMEtime (Ch 704).

We made a beeline for APW Bangsar recently, where the House of Sephora had opened its doors, allowing us to discover all the latest products that the beauty industry has to offer. Back with a fresh, new and stronger identity, Sephora promises a celebration of the golden moments in makeup, skincare, and haircare. The event venue saw a dedicated space celebrating famed and favourite beauty products that went viral on TikTok. From new brands to exciting launches, it was a haven for lovers of all things beauty!

Hanging Out With Watsons & Song Ji Hyo
We attended the official launch of Watsons’ first-ever K-Beauty Festa at Sentul Depot, recently. The ceremony featured appearances by Watsons ambassadors: actress Sweet Qismina and Phei Yong; as well as Korean star, Song Ji Hyo, whom we were able to meet up-close. The “Running Man” star was representing the skincare brand Glutanex.
The event was filled with a variety of K-Beauty-themed activities, with up to 19 top Korean beauty brands participating. We were also treated to skincare and makeup tips and tricks from top-notch experts.

Vibing With The Bands Of Jiwa Kacau
Calling all fans of indie and rock music – get ready to rock on with iconic local bands Hujan, Bunkface and Masdo, Insomniacks during a special, one-night concert called “Jiwa Kacau Showcase 2023” this June! We attended the press conference for the upcoming concert, and judging from the lineup, we can only promise you one thing – a fantastic night of superb music by epic musicians. A Gloriously Glorious Party!
We got to PARTY the house DOWN with DBE Malaysia for their Glorious Gloria Party @Luuma! From an endless supply of BULLDOG London Dry Gin, to fabulous drag queens slaying the stage, to a ballroom POSE dance competition – it was certainly a night to remember. There was also a best-dressed competition where winners got to win a Gillian Hung MMG sweater worth RM900 and a Tangoo crown!
