Recently, a Singaporean man posted a clip on his TikTok channel to show the now abandoned state of Puteri Harbour in Nusajaya, Johor. What makes the deserted location even more sad is the possibility of people committing criminal activity there with little to no witnesses.
A few days after the TikTok video went viral, the mall has now been hit with a robbery case where armed individuals were caught trying to rob another man in broad daylight. Here’s what happened:

Twitter user @jllmisai posted a video of several men holding machetes and axes attempting to rob someone at Puteri Harbour. As seen in the video, the robbers had blocked the victim’s car with theirs to prevent him from escaping. The victim can be seen frantically moving the vehicle back and forth in an attempt to escape while the armed suspects tried to force their way in.
The aerial view clip went viral with over 1 million views on Twitter at the time of writing. It is said that the ordeal happened on Monday (13th March). The netizen then posted several other videos earlier today (Thursday, 16th March) from multiple sources showing different angles of the robbery as well as the police in pursuit of the suspects. Thankfully, local authorities managed to apprehend some of the perpetrators.

As for the well-being of the victim, the online trader suffered several injuries on his head, hands, and arms from the incident and was immediately treated at a private hospital. At the time of writing, there is still no update on what exactly the bandits tried to steal from the victim.
As mentioned in the statement, witnesses of the incident are encouraged to come forward with more details to help with the investigation. We hope the victim is doing better and that the residents around Puteri Harbour stay safe.
