Although we would love to believe the world is a safe place, many of us know better than that. Still, despite our vigilance and care, sometimes, we can still be caught off guard. Take this lady for example. She claims she was nearly ‘bewitched’ while shopping at Maluri in Cheras!
The lady uploaded a post on 小红书 (Xiao Hong Shu) warning others of a blonde-haired man. She claims he had almost bewitched her by asking her to donate some of her hair.

The lady claimed she had been shopping alone at AEON Maluri yesterday (13th March) when she was approached by a man. He allegedly spoke English, had blonde hair and looked to be about 30 years old. The man then asked her for a bit of her time, which she ignored. However, he continued: “I am a student from XXX college. We are doing a social experiment and we would like to talk to you alone. We would like to cut 10cm of your hair.”
“When I heard it, my heart couldn’t stop beating (fast) and I was sweating. I yelled “NONONO” loudly at him,” she wrote. The man had apparently been startled and she managed to get away to pay for her items. She added that she had felt “a little dizzy” after getting off the lift and headed to the washroom to wash her face. However, she encountered him again after she came out, prompting her to hurriedly leave the area.

Others later shared they too had run into the same man around AEON Maluri. However, some claimed they had not been ‘affected’ by the man’s ‘bewitchment’ as they were either with someone or wearing a mask. Another lady claimed she had encountered something similar at Maluri’s MRT station. Three men had supposedly approached her, with one continuously harassing her.
“He kept talking to me and asked me repeatedly, “Do you remember me? You really don’t remember me? I’ll sing for you. I’m not a bad person.” The scariest and weirdest thing was that he kept repeating and emphasizing, “Look into my eyes, you really don’t recognise me?” she shared. The lady added she had left the place immediately to a more crowded area. After the incident, she felt her face had been very hot and red, and she felt dizzy.

Although there are some who believe the victims were ‘bewitched’, others claim their dizziness might be due to the stressful situation. Regardless, we sincerely hope people will stay safe and keep an eye on their surroundings.
