A year ago, Taiwanese singer and S.H.E member Selina Jen (任家萱) revealed her boyfriend of 7 years. Well, for this 2023, Selina has new good news to present to her fans. She’s pregnant!
Selina revealed her good news around 2pm today (13th March). She shared in her Facebook post that she is currently 12 weeks pregnant and very excited to be a mom!
“I really want to be a mother,” Selina reportedly shared on her podcast program “迎任而解”. “This is a very incredible (event) in my life, it’s a very beautiful thing.” However, as it turned out, her pregnancy had come as a surprise to her too.
Selina had supposedly been feeling unwell after staying up all night for New Year’s. It led to her taking a pregnancy test and to her surprise, the test showed her two lines. To be certain of her results, Selina took several pregnancy tests before finally concluding that, yes, she was pregnant! Selina added that she had been so excited, she burst into tears. She wasn’t the only one. Selina’s boyfriend cried too when he heard the news!

“(I’m) full of sincere gratitude and joy (as I) share good news with you,” Selina wrote on her Facebook post. “I’m pregnant~! Pregnant~! (There is a) baby in (my) belly. I named it 小腰果 (Little Cashew).” Selina shared its because a cashew looks like a smiling mouth so she hopes her child will also be “a happy child”.
The artist also took the time to reassure fans about her belly. Apparently, she looks much bigger than being 3 months pregnant due to having fibroids in her uterus. However, Selina added that the fibroids are not affecting the baby’s development.
Well, congrats to Selina and her boyfriend! We sincerely hope things go well for them and that we’ll see Baby Cashew soon!
