Public transportation has become an essential part of our daily lives. With more Malaysians now opting for public transport such as LRT and MRT to commute to and from work or travel around town, it is common to see trains being crowded, especially during peak hours.
Therefore, it’s important to use one’s common sense when it comes to taking public transportation. This week, a Malaysian netizen took to TikTok to call out this LRT user who placed her Sogo paper bags on a seat whilst the train was packed with other passengers.

“The year is 2023, and people like this still exist in Malaysia. 🤬” TikTok user @yoesmadjanew wrote in the caption. In the clip shared by the TikToker, the woman can be seen scrolling on her phone, ignoring her surroundings. “This LRT belongs to her dad,” he sarcastically added in his post. Although she was aware of other passengers in the train, including a couple of passengers who carried large luggage with them, she remained oblivious and continued staring at her phone.
The video has since gone viral, garnering a whopping 1.3 million views online at the time of writing (Tuesday, 7th March). Many netizens took to the comments section to put the woman in hijab on blast for her selfish and ignorant trait. Some of the comments include, “You should make people like this go viral as much as possible,” “I hope she’s on TikTok so that she sees her own face (going viral),” “She’s paying for her shopping bags as well,” and “If I was there, I would go straight to her and tell her directly, ‘Sorry, I want to sit here.'”Â
