Lee Chaeyeon (이채연), a former member of the girl group IZ*ONE, caused a stir on the internet with her recent public appearance. Last weekend, the K-pop star appeared as a guest on the radio show “GOT7 Youngjae’s Close Friend”, alongside Chaein from the group Purple Kiss.
Interestingly, it was also noted that the two former “K-pop Star 3” contestants reunited for the first time in 10 years. The duo also delighted fans with a couple of selfie photos to commemorate the reunion. That said, fans couldn’t help but noticed something looked rather off with Chaeyeon’s face.
After seeing the photos, many argued that the female idol looks more mature now, as compared to when she was still active as a member of IZ*ONE. It also appears that Chaeyeon has lost her chubby cheeks, as seen with her sharper jawline. Others also said that her nose bridge got higher, suggesting that the “Hush Rush” singer just got some surgery done on her face.
Following that, many were quick to accuse Chaeyeon of going under the knife. Some of the comments left by them include:
- “As expected, it looks like people nowadays are doing plastic surgery all over their face.”
- “Aww, you look prettier before this.”
- “You just look older (after plastic surgery).”
- “What’s wrong with your nose?”
- “Anyone can tell (that) there’s something wrong with her nose.”
So far, neither Chaeyeon nor her agency have yet to respond to the plastic surgery rumours.
