The culture of Mat Rempit in Malaysia shows no signs of stopping. The individuals who participate in illegal racing and perform bike stunts are not only a danger to themselves but to others on the road. Sometimes though, karma has a way of getting back at them.

Last year, one Mat Rempit was too immersed in a dangerous stunt on a highway that he failed to notice a police car driving next to him. This time around, a motorcyclist wanted to show off his wheelie skills only for it to end in humiliation. Watch:

TikTok user @m_riyazudin posted a video recently on his channel where a group of bikers were getting ready at a traffic light stop to race each other at the traffic light in front of KLCC. It is currently unknown if the TikToker filmed the video himself or if he had gotten it from another source.

As seen in the video, one mat rempit, in particular, became the centre of attention. As soon as the traffic light turned green, he performed a wheelie stunt right at the start but somehow lost his balance halfway through before falling off his bike while the crowd at the side of the road continued to cheer. Luckily for the fallen biker, the other bikers behind him managed to avoid him in time.

The TikTok video has since reached almost 130k views, and 7.7 likes at the time of writing. Netizens were too entertained by the biker’s failed stunt that many suggested that the man moved to a different state after the humiliating incident while others were glad that he got what was coming for him.

At the time of writing, there is currently no information on whether or not the authorities have been made aware of the situation that evening. For your information, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) stated that performing dangerous stunts on the road such as wheelies and “Superman” is illegal as it falls under reckless driving according to Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
