Dato’ Seri Vida is mostly known for her controversial antics and appearances. The entrepreneur recently turned heads with her dramatic outfits at the “Gempak Most Wanted Awards 2022” event over the weekend.
During the event, DSV was spotted walking down the red carpet in a pair of pink satin pajamas with matching headgear by Behati. Additionally, she was also wrapped in a pink and purple patchwork blanket – making it impossible not to notice her presence.

DSV also took to her socials to share some photos and videos of during the show. In one of the posts, she asked her followers to the name her red carpet look. In another post, she captioned, “My blanket, not yours.” The Qu Puteh also donned a sequined telekung (women’s prayer garment), also designed by the local fashion brand.
Speaking in an interview with Gempak, DSV said that the dress was a tribute to her “Ku Ikhlaskan” music video. “This is the prayer garment that we always wear when we are praying. But the designer added a sparkling touch to the dress,” the “I Am Me” singer told the portal. “This look is also in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan just around the corner.”
As expected, not everyone was a fan of the 50-year-old’s bold outfits. Most of them took to the comments section to put her on blast. Not to mention, DSV was also frowned upon for making fun of Islam with her telekung red carpet dress. Read what they said here:

During the same interview with Gempak, DSV was also asked whether she expects for her outfits to come under fire. The wealthy businesswoman agreed with a commentator that even though people may hate her fashion choices, at least she’s covering up.
