Unlike the Westlife “Wild Dreams” tour in Singapore, no one in the audience at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil threw their panties onstage, asking for a signature. Still there was plenty of entertainment going on as the Irish pop group perform their greatest hits for Malaysian fans.
While their set list for “Wild Dreams” is quite similar to 2019’s “The Twenty Tour”, the quartet switch things up by dedicating a whole segment to ABBA with iconic songs like “Mamma Mia”, “Gimme Gimme Gimme”, “Money Money Money”, “Take A Chance On M”, “I Have a Dream”, “Dancing Queen”, “Waterloo” and “Thank You For The Music”.
It was nostalgia at its best as Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily performed their most popular tracks from their discography. Despite it being weekday, the estimated 8000 concert-goers were full of energy, especially during uptempo numbers like “Uptown Girl”, “When You’re Looking Like That” and “Hello My Love”.
During the concert, each member would take a few minutes to chat with the crowd. Nicky’s segment was probably the most exciting. Besides plugging his socials and asking fans to follow his personal Instagram account (Nicky is currently the member with the second highest following after Shane), he also got everyone to whip put their phone torchlights for a little game.

The highlight of the night? We have two of them. It was eargasmic to witness Mark nailing the high notes in “Flying Without Wings” with precision. This goosebumps-inducing moment never gets old.
Another highlight was watching the four of them busting out their dad dancing during the “World of Our Own” and Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” mashup. While some might find it bordering on cringe, the majority of fans loved to see Westlife do their dad dance and shake those booty – or at least attempted to (gotta give them extra credit here).
