We’re always telling each other to “not judge a book by it’s cover”. But, there’s no denying that judging others still happens, and it happens often. Perhaps that’s why it was so stunning to this lady that she could shop without being judged!
The customer, a tourist from China, had apparently visited Pavilion Kuala Lumpur for a shopping trip. But, while there, she claimed she was pleasantly surprised by how the salespeople there treated her.

The lady uploaded her shopping experience to her socials. She shared she had just entered the mall and was surprised to discover that the salespeople here weren’t arrogant. “Look at what I’m wearing,” she said, showed off her outfit; a pair of red sneakers and a skirt. “(And) people are still warmly entertaining me.”
As to why she was so shocked, well, the lady shared she would not have gotten a warm reception in her own country. “If you carry (a particular) bag, your image won’t look (smart), and (you will be discriminated against),” she stated.

Some agreed with the woman’s observation, claiming they too had received good service regardless of what they were wearing. However, a few opined that their service was non-discriminatory because “even the rich dress causally”. But, one netizen urged Malaysians to take better pride in their service. “Malaysians’ (service) is good, and it has nothing to do with (what people wear),” they wrote.

Well, we’re certainly glad to hear that our customer service has made others happy! It isn’t an easy job, but kudos to those in the service industry for doing their best anyway. Hopefully the lady continues to enjoy her time here!
