A young GrabFood rider is receiving praise online for his honest trait after he was involved in a minor accident with a Toyota Vellfire driver recently.
The MPV driver known as Andrew Cheah, took to his TikTok to share a video from the incident over the weekend. Although the TikToker didn’t mention the specific location, it’s believed that the accident took place somewhere in Bukit Jalil.

After colliding with the food deliveryman, Andrew immediately got out of his car to check on the damage. He found that a section of his car’s skirting was dislodged. The food delivery rider pulled over and parked his vehicle to apologise, much to the surprise of the driver.

Andrew then asked the young man, “Why didn’t you run away?” to which he replied, “I was the one who’s at fault, so how could I run away?” He proceeded to apologise to the driver and offered to pay for any damage caused by the collision. When asked how much he wants to pay him, the rider told Andrew that he’ll let him decide. During their conversation, the driver also asked him about his income and also his age.

The delivery rider shared that he was earning RM80 a day. He further revealed that he was only 19 years old. “19, that’s very young,” the TikTok user expressed. He then revealed that he’s been working as a rider for Grab since after the Raya season. Seemingly moved by his replies, Andrew later decided to let the young man go. “It’s okay. Don’t worry,” Andrew told him, as he was seen being hesitant in leaving.
Scrolling through the comments section, many netizens applauded Andrew for his kind gesture towards the young deliveryman. This also caught the attention of actress Fasha Sandha. Through a post on her Instagram, she expressed her intention of buying a gift for the delivery rider. “If you’re reading this, please comment or drop a DM on my page (this little brother should be a good example for fellow motorcyclists on the road),” the “Natasha” star said.

At the time of writing, Andrew’s video has garnered a whopping 3.4 million views on TikTok.
